It is a material that appeals to our most ancient senses, touch and scent, and it ages not by decaying, but by acquiring a story. Surface Properties

High-Frequency Acoustic Absorption

TX–01

The fibrous, porous structure of leather makes it an exceptional natural sound absorber, particularly for the high-frequency sounds that create ambient “hiss” and echo. When applied to walls or integrated into cabinetry over an acoustic substrate, it can significantly dampen reverberation and create a serene, acoustically calm environment. This allows us to achieve a high level of acoustic comfort with a material that is also visually and texturally rich, a sophisticated alternative to conventional acoustic panels.

Low Thermal Conductivity

A polished finish closes the pores of the stone and creates a near-mirror-like surface that reveals the full depth, colour, and crystalline structure of the material. We use this not to create bling, but to create a dynamic dialogue with light. A polished surface brings movement into a space, reflecting the shifting light of the day and the subtle colours of the surrounding environment, making the material feel alive and responsive.

Perforated for Acoustic Transparency

TX–03

By micro-perforating leather, we can make it acoustically transparent. This allows sound to pass through the leather and be absorbed by a high-performance acoustic insulation material hidden behind it. This technique allows us to use the beautiful, luxurious finish of leather for the walls of a home cinema or listening room without it reflecting sound and compromising the room’s acoustic tuning. It is a perfect integration of high-end aesthetic and high-performance science.
